the 'c' word

My friend has a brain tumour. She has to have surgery, followed by chemo. What sucks the most is that it's the second time she's had to have a brain tumour removed (and before that, she battled skin cancer). Its hard to make sense of why these things happen.

Something in her genes are just not quite right. I lost a close friend to a brain tumour when I was a teen. She was the same age. The treatment back then was hideous. I hope for your friend it is much better now.

Bad genes and bad luck. Her brother was in a car accident a few years ago, she had a boyfriend die from a snake bite when she was a teenager, and she witnessed a friend getting eaten by a croc on a camping trip. So many bad things.
