Election musings

Like 15 million other Australians, I waited in line for my chance to vote bright and early yesterday morning. And then I spent the night with my eyes glued to the TV watching the ABC's coverage of the election count.

Nathan, who is sometimes more rationale than I, decided that visiting a girlfriend's place with two screaming toddlers and a very talkative husband would be a much more exciting way to spend his evening so he left me to my night of political TV paralysis.

Well...what a waste of my night.

I ended up with a headache from watching the coverage. I don't know if it was the non-outcome or all those pollies reigniting the campaign with their policy arguments.

At least when The Abbott was elected,it was an exciting evening. Not so this time and how many ways can the same thing be said.

Victor: I was feeling very tired today.
Andrew: Agreed. And even though I was not happy with the the Abbott victory, at least there was a silver lining in Mirabella's loss in Indi. This year, everything was kinda 'meh'.

I was a wee bit excited to see Mirabella lost again.
