smorgastarta

I had a new dining experience today. A savoury cake or smorgastarta. It was quite an eye-opener...a cake smothered in cheese, mayo, meatballs and shrimp (with layers of ham and pate in between). Apparently it is very traditional. To me, it looks like something a contestant from the Biggest Loser would try to sneak onto the show. I wanted to take a photo but, alas, the whole thing was devoured in half an hour so here is a picture of a healtheir-looking version I got off the internet (at least there are more vegetables in this example):

With my sweet tooth I doubt I would enjoy a savoury cake.
